Can you spot the mistake?

I'm back from my vacation! I am feeling so happy and grateful. The older I get, my kind of ideal vacation changes. I'm more interested in experiencing and learning new things. I did a lot of those things on this trip. I ventured and discovered new places on my own, which I'm really proud of. I also managed to attend a talk about aquaponics and learned new things. Having a curiosity about life and things makes us alive! There were a couple more talks I wanted to go to but I was pressed with time.  

Today, I wanted to show you a dollhouse miniature watering can I made recently.


When I was being pointed out the mistake I made, my first reaction was laughing out loud. I could imagine this in real life, and it would be hilarious. The one and only silly watering can - handmade by me.

But I find this so precious, and I'll always keep it by my side. It's a piece that holds so many valuable lessons for me - finding laughter in the "mistakes" we make, taking ourselves less seriously, viewing life with curiosity.
I find these values important. :)

When I showed it to my mom and brother and asked them to spot the mistake, honestly they were staring at it and did not spot the obvious mistake. They talked about the sprout, how the angle wasn't right, etc. But it wasn't that. I guess only those who are into gardening could tell easily.

I'll leave you to make a guess!

Eclair Jewelry - Dessert Necklace

I am feeling so productive today and wanted to write one more post before I leave for my vacation tomorrow! I've been quite excited to show you all what I've been working on, and honestly I have other plans to expand this idea, but we would have to wait till I am back.

So earlier on, I sculpted some fake eclairs from scratch. I did some on 1:12 scale a little while back but I've never made something of this size. They are about 5cm long.

I covered them with one coat of chocolate sauce and waited for them to dry. I then decided that a second coat is much needed as I could still see some empty spots around.

So for my first try, I turned them into necklace!

I am excited with this idea and plan to come up with more colors and variety, maybe magnets too! That would be so cute and cool. This will definitely be on my list of to do when I am back.

Dollhouse Miniature Flowers - White and Blue Flowers Bouquet

I've completed this a little while ago and didn't realize I've not blogged about it!

I remembered making some 1/12 scale white flowers and made it into a bouquet. During that time, I was really inspired by the clean, pristine colors of a real life bouquet I saw and so I got down to make some of them. I was wondering if I should leave it alone or add some leaves to it. I asked for some comments on my facebook page and was really grateful for the many comments I've gotten.

It wasn't hard for me to come up with a decision - I decided to make some dusty miller leaves to go with this bouquet!

I'm so pleased with the result. I'm really loving the soft, calming colors of this bouquet.

Then I decided to make some blue crates to go along with this presentation.

On a separate note, I will be away on some much needed vacation next week from 4 May to 24 May. I am excited and hope to come back with more inspiration! During the time I'm away, my shops will still be opened, but please bear with me - I can only mail out orders when I'm back.
