1:12 Scale Christmas Cupcakes

The last time I made 1:12 scale cupcakes was a long time ago. This time, I tried something different and I am happy with the improved results of it. :)

Made some christmas cupcakes, and kept it really simple and clean. Just some whip cream and a blue christmas sugar ornament on the top!

I just love this shade of blue. How about you?

Teaching

You know, it was only after I started teaching miniature classes recently that I realized that it meant something to me on a deeper level. Knowing that at the end of the day, my student really love what they have accomplished and learnt something that they never knew they could make with their own hands is indescribable.

Another big satisfaction for me was being able to develop a new way to help my student create the miniatures. I'm learning something myself here every time I teach.

Right now, I'm grateful for all the opportunities!

1:12 Scale Pink Gerbera Daisies Hand Bouquet

It seems all I do lately are just flowers, which is really quite true. It's still very much on my mind and lately my work revolves around flowers.

Just the other day, I was experimenting the colours of the stamen of the gerbera daisies. I get excited when I achieve another realistic variety of gerbera daisies. All the stamen are hand painted by me, so it does take time.

I made a hand bouquet yesterday. This morning, I took pictures of them in my hands.

1:12 scale Macaron Display

I made some more 1:12 scale macarons over the weekend. I like to think that it's because I love the muted pastel pink colours and so it comes naturally to me. I would make a bunch in different shades, and arrange them till I find the nicest combination. Mixing colour is really the key here. The good thing is, it can be done and with practice, it will get easier and easier each time because you're more confident in mixing the colour. You develop an eye for colours and also know what are the shades that goes well together. Knead quickly and here you go!
