We have a Winner for my Giveaway!

Time flies and it's already April! Sorry for the lack of posting, but due to the recent chinese Ching Ming Festival, I was busy on the weekends. Now, some would call it Tomb Sweeping Day in English, which means we go to tend to the graves of our departed ancestors. But there aren't graves for my ancestors anymore, so we go to the temple to offer prayers and offerings.

On the miniature front, I have been busy working on commissions for a friend and a customer, so that takes up all of my time ;) I needed to complete those pieces before my personal retreat in May.

New items are also being made and ordered for the commissions, so that would be interesting!

Thank you all for taking part in my Craft Book Giveaway 2 weeks ago. Now, as all of you had been waiting for, the winner is...........

Show and Tell Monday ~ Free Blog Giveaway - Japanese Craft Book

The week gone by so quickly! Just yesterday, I dug out my cross stitch project and had fun with it :) I haven't been cross stitching for a long time.

This week, I wanted to have a giveaway on my blog. It's been a while since the last giveaway. The giveaway this time round is a japanese craft book. I bought this book in Hong Kong a while ago, and it is in mint condition since I seldom refer to it. I decided that it is time I give it away to a new owner who will treasure it and find it useful. :) Now, it is not just a clay craft book per se, because there are some felt craft as well. Although it is in japanese, but there are many photos and step by step illustrations provided.

To be the lucky recipient of this craft book, simply leave me a comment with your contact email. I'll be picking the winner end of this month, and will contact you via email to get your mailing details. I will be posting this using ordinary air mail.

Show and Tell Monday ~ 1:12 Scale Strawberry Sundae

Work has been pretty rough this week :S The only comfort I get is some rest time during the weekends. I also bought some new craft books to get new ideas, and I'm also going to pre-order another book!

This weekend, I had some time to experiment making a 1:12 strawberry sundae. I had a lovely glass sundae cup sitting here in my stash, but I hadn't had the time to experiment. I am glad I finally sat down to play with it. I'm very pleased with the result! Don't you just feel like scooping up the vanilla softee and putting it into your mouth?

Height of the glass sundae cup including the tip of vanilla ice cream is 2cm. Diameter of the glass sundae cup at its widest is 1.6cm.
