Flower Arrangement Videos

I recently chanced upon this short series of a flower arrangement video clip on youtube. Everything about it is beautiful. From that green wall, to that brown antique cupboard in the background, to that cute white porcelain bowl, to that whole assortment of pink flowers on the table. And don't forget those deep fuchsia peonies hiding behind the guy. That color blew me away. I wished I could stay in a room like that.

I had fun watching how that flower arrangement slowly come to life. The things he talked about were also very applicable to dollhouse miniature flower arrangement. Funny how we watch certain videos and think about how we can incorporate that into our mini making. I love how he daringly adds height and depth to the arrangement to bring life to it.

If you have some time, you might enjoy watching it too. :)

I don't know why there isn't a Part 1. It actually starts from Part 2.
Here are the links to the videos.

Blythe Doll 1:6 Scale Cake Display Shelves

Back in 2013, I blogged about fulfilling a custom order for Blythe Doll. My customer wanted some cake display shelves for her Blythe Doll. You can read it here and here. Never knew it was 5 years ago until I searched for the old blog entries :)

Recently, my customer Melissa contacted me again, and provided me photos of her Blythe Cake Shop. I asked for her permission to post them, and so I can share these with you.

So impressed with her cake shop! So much detail and dedication here, don't you think? I love her cute Blythe Doll as well.

It makes me so happy to see my cake shelves being displayed in a beautiful cake shop. As you can see, the shelves are versatile and can be arranged in various ways. That gives the doll owner lots of options to play around with it.

Next, I'll build some basic kitchen cabinets for Blythe Doll. Oh boy, I'm nervous, as making 1:6 scale furniture is pretty daunting. But I think it should be OK. Melissa was also very sweet and understanding. I truly appreciate her for letting me take my time with it.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Dollhouse Miniature Milk Bottle Vase

I had some time just the other week to transform this milk bottle into a flower vase. When I first made the transparent miniature bottle, I already had a vision of turning it into a flower vase. I wanted it white, as I think it would look charming. So, with a few coats of white paint, here is the flower vase! Sitting nicely on my shabby shelf, the size of the bottle is JUST perfect for 1/12 scale.

The flowers belong to a custom project which I'm still working on. I'm working on 5 roses at a time. I have...another 2 more colors to go before I will paint everything. But right now, the pastel shade of roses came in handy for this photo taking. :)

Milk bottle mold is available here.
