I was in another Treasury!!

I found myself in another lovely Treasury called Afternoon Tea the other day. How apt!! Everything is in beautiful golden hues. ;) I applaud the curator for having such a good eye for colour and coordination!

Show and Tell Monday ~ 1:12 Scale Cake Display Shelf

Besides making 1:12 food miniatures, I am really fond of building shelfs, cabinets, cake display case. It gives me much excitement and anticipation when I am starting from scratch, cutting up pieces of wood, gluing them, deciding what colour to go on them, etc.

As you can imagine, I am most honored when I was approached by a very sweet person to build her a custom cake display case. It is such a priviledge. She has requested for white, and "distressed" looking cake display case. After I completed it, I wanted to give it some extra touch, so that she is the only person to have this piece. Hence I added some elegant gold frills to the front, and I also made a antique poster which goes in very nicely for this piece. I hope she likes it :)

Front: The photo frame is not glued to the piece, so it can be placed anywhere.
