Pink Macaron Earrings

I've been busy trying to complete the large custom order of pink macaron earrings here. Feeling really happy that they will soon to be completed.

Now that the large order is going to be completed soon, I can start working on other things.

Looking forward.

The other day, I received a negative feedback about a doily mold that I was selling in my shop. The customer wasn't happy with the depth of the center of the mold, which according to her, was deeper than the edges. It wasn't as flat as the edges. I took the same mold that was sent to her, and made another doily so I could scrutinize it.

I tried understanding what she was talking about. Unless my eyes are playing me, the depth difference we're talking here is really minuscule. But I accept her opinion. I've retook photographs, so that there isn't any mis-interpretation moving forward. We live and learn :)

Custom Macaron Bracelet

I just finished a custom macaron bracelet requested by a customer of mine. She wanted a slightly longer bracelet and with some custom colored macarons on it. I was happy to work on this for her. She requested for lots of pink so that's why this particular one has many pinks! :)

Earlier this week, another customer sent me a short sweet message. It touches my heart and it simply said "Pei Li, your work make our world better and kinder . Thank you so much for this!"

Even though it was short, but it was heartfelt and I felt she gets me. I love doing what I do - using colors, and mostly flowers to bring some serenity and calmness to this sometimes chaotic world. I love it when I get feedback that they feel peaceful and happy when they see my work upclose. That makes my day. :)

Earlier this week, I completed a blue antique miniature flask pot. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see how my blue and white flower bouquet will fit into this :) And so I had to take a shot right away! I love it when I see two items fit perfectly together!

I will take better photos when I get a chance! ^^

White Christmas Tree Jewelry Necklace

I've always dreamed about white christmas. My ideal kind of christmas is filled with snow. It means new beginnings, a fresh start, pristine clean air and a pure, simple lifestyle. Besides, I've always loved the smell of christmas fir trees. I know this sounds crazy, but I love passing by hotel lobbies during the christmas season just to take a whiff of that real fir tree. So refreshing!

So, all those images I had in mind inspired me to make this White Christmas Tree Jewelry Necklace.

It holds many meanings for me, and I hope you share some of those :)

Wear the necklace against a white or cream top, and I'm sure it'll still draw attention.

I absolutely love the rainy days we have here recently. It makes me yearn for a good fir tree candle scent. Nothing too artificial...any recommendations?

Eclair Jewelry - Dessert Necklace

I am feeling so productive today and wanted to write one more post before I leave for my vacation tomorrow! I've been quite excited to show you all what I've been working on, and honestly I have other plans to expand this idea, but we would have to wait till I am back.

So earlier on, I sculpted some fake eclairs from scratch. I did some on 1:12 scale a little while back but I've never made something of this size. They are about 5cm long.

Some fake eclairs without cream
I covered them with one coat of chocolate sauce and waited for them to dry. I then decided that a second coat is much needed as I could still see some empty spots around.

An obligatory hand shot

So for my first try, I turned them into necklace!

Made some vanilla cream to go in between the eclairs

I am excited with this idea and plan to come up with more colors and variety, maybe magnets too! That would be so cute and cool. This will definitely be on my list of to do when I am back.

This eclair necklace is available in my store here.

Pink Bunny Macaron Necklace

So, I did make it in time to post a last entry for 2014!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas celebration. I had a quiet one spent with family at home and took the opportunity to get some nap and play around with clay.

I ventured into making animal shape macarons and the first one I've experimented successfully is the pink bunny macaron necklace!

I had much time drawing its face. :)

Here's another shot.

I hope you like this! I'm also making another animal shape macaron and once it's done, I'll show it.

You can get the pink bunny macaron necklace here now.

I hope all of you will have a wonderful new year celebration and see you in 2015! Thank you so much for staying and reading my blog.

Tall Sandwich Necklace

I've been really busy the past month up till now, rushing out Christmas orders and re-stocking my shop - which is why I've really haven't had time to blog or even create new items.

Yesterday, I finally had some time to play with new ideas! I've always been wanting to try my hand making a sandwich necklace, and I had fun "stacking" things up! :)

The tall sandwich jewelry has many layers of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and ham!

This would be great for everyday wear. Because I had so much time creating this, I'm going to make a couple more.

Available at my Etsy shop here now!

Egg and Butter Toast Earrings

I've been quiet since I got back. I seldom fall sick, but somehow caught a nasty cold which took me a rather long time to shake it off. But I'm much better now and am glad to be somewhat back to my usual self. I've also been working on some custom orders. I have some ideas for christmas, and hopefully I will be able to crank some out in time!

I've recently made another toast earrings variety to my collection. This time round, I added an egg to the toast ;)

I am thinking of adding another variety, perhaps with ham?

Available now in my shop here!

White Rose Hair Bobby Pin and Freely Clay

It's been a while since my last post. I am still around, but just been kept busy with work and some orders :)

I'm happy to be asked by my customer to create a special hair pin bobby for her, that goes along with the dark yellow gerbera daisy profiteroles ring here.

After some discussion, we decided to do a white rose, and 2 gerbera daisies. I also added some pearls to it.

Oh, and this time round, I took the chance to use a new resin clay to make the flowers. It's called Freely Clay. You can purchase it at my etsy shop here.

I'm really liking the texture. It's softer than Grace, so I can really flex and sculpt the petals. You can also use it to make fruits. It is slightly translucent. When dried, it is slightly flexible as well. Beautiful texture.

Profiteroles Ring - New Color

This week, I received a special request from a customer who wanted a profiteroles ring made in a different color. I'm happy to work on the colors she has requested, and here are a few photos.

I actually have a few ideas incorporating other kinds of flowers with this ring, so I'll put it on my to-do list and work on it soon :)

Dark yellow gerbera daisies with a white rose

Have a wonderful weekend all!

Pastel Macarons Glass Dome Necklace - Macaron Jewelry

I recently experimented with glass domes, and here, I have made a pastel macarons glass dome necklace.
All the macarons were carefully handmade, colours were specially selected and picked - so the entire look is dreamy and sweet.

Glass dome diameter is approximately 3cm at its widest. Height of the glass dome is also 3cm.

Length of necklace is approximately 67cm (26 inches).

Hope you love it!

Featured on GoodHousekeeping.com

It's been a busy week here, filled with classes and work.

On top of it, I was delighted when I realized there were traffic coming in from Goodhousekeeping.com
I checked and realized my miniatures were featured on a short writeup over there.
You can see it here.

And I've been slowly adding to the colors to the ice cream earrings I made a while ago.

So now, I've chocolate, vanilla and strawberry colours :)

I'm going to have some more colours coming up soon!

Ice Cream Earrings Post - Strawberry

Summer is in full swing here! My mind is never far from thinking of eating something cold to cool myself down. But for health reasons, I'm just doing a lot of day dreaming but not actually eating (cold stuff).

But here is my first time making some miniature ice cream earrings!

For a start, I am introducing the strawberry colored one, and I do intend to come up with some other colors as well.

I sold my first pair yesterday ^^ and am feeling so happy :)

What other colors would you love to see?

In real life, I'm newly addicted to home made fruit smoothies. For the past 2 months, I've started making smoothies about 3-4 times a week. I buy all sorts of berries and blend it with banana! It's one great summer dessert!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

A special birthday order - Neapolitan Trio Macarons Necklace

Hello....

It's been a little while since my last update. I've been quietly working here, while handling a situation at home.
But first, I wanted to show you a little order I've been working on. A mommy ordered these for her little girl's birthday and her friends. I hope the girls will love it! The last step would be to attach them to the necklace chains and they will be ready to be shipped out tomorrow! I hope they will be in time for her birthday.

______________

Oh and back to my situation at home. I have a leaking ceiling that has been ongoing for a month. To date, there has been 3 repair works done on separate occasions. 2 from the roof and 1 from my room itself. Despite that, the leaking continues, albeit smaller than before. I am continuing to monitor the leakage, which can only be done when it rains...so, there were some inconveniences throughout this period. I hope it will be resolved soon.

Meanwhile, I'm keeping myself positive with the help of some fabulous music, exercise and lots of korean reality tv shows ^^

Food Earrings Bulk Order Completion

This week, I finished a bulk order of food earrings! I'm so thrilled they are completed, and early next week, they will be shipped to Houston! I hope they will be well received!
I love packaging things, and while packing this order, I came up with an idea of turning these cards into earring cards.

On another happy news, I finished up a gift for my friend! It was my first time using new painting techniques for that, and I'm happy with my experiment. I can't wait to see my friend and gift her with it.

This week is a holiday weekend here (Good Friday), and yesterday I had a class with my student. We were working on English Tea Time. My student does not have much time to set aside for hobbies, but she found it  therapeutic making this, and I am really happy to see her enjoying it.

Happy weekend everyone!

Ispahan Macaron Necklace

I'm so excited to bring you a new creation of mine - the Ispahan Macaron Necklace!
I love this new necklace so much, and hopefully you do too!

Before assembling this together, I've been thinking if I should offer this as a jewelry first or as a fake food prop first, but now that I've turned it into a necklace, I am quite sure there would be a few macaron fans who would love to own a life size fake ispahan macaron too, so that would be something I would be working on shortly as well :) To make the macaron wearable less "bulky", I've used the normal macaron shells and kept the width around 4cm.

In reality, it seems that the ispahan macaron is larger than the normal macarons - the shells are 7cm wide. So that would be my next challenge!

This can be found in the Food Jewelry section of my shop here.

Butter Pound Cake Earrings

One of the things that I wanted to do, while sculpting my miniature butter pound cakes was to turn them into cute cake earrings. It just felt so right! My friend told me that butter pound cakes are very popular in the States, but we shall see!

Wear them, and eat the real pound cake ^^

Now available in my shop here.

Food Ring - French Toast

This food ring wasn't in my list of to-do....but just the other day, I was in an experimental mood. I was itching to try something different, failing and learning something new in the process. And that day, I was just in that mood. I had some air dry clay toasts in front of me (uncoloured). Rather than smearing some peanut butter or jam on it, I decided to experiment making them into french toast.

My mom makes them occasionally using "old" bread - meaning the bread are close to the date of expiry or bread that we simply haven't been able to finish within a few days. We never use fresh bread to make french toast, just because it's a "waste" to fry them while they are still fresh and soft.

Our recipe is simple and with no frills. Beat an egg, dip the bread into it and fry till it's golden crispy brown. We love eating it with maple syrup on the top!

So my inspiration came from remembering how our french toast look like.

And here's my french toast food ring! A little burnt on the sides ^^

Breakfast Earrings now available!

Finally! I had some time to explore making these breakfast earrings.

I love eating toast and it was just a matter of time I make some. I can eat them almost everyday. Breakfast or dinner.

I like mine with butter on the top, especially when it's just out from the toaster, as you can see the butter melting slowly.

I made a pair of these toast earrings featuring a melted butter toast, and a chocolate spread toast!

Perfect for the breakfast lover :)

Available in my shop under Food Jewelry.

Pink Macaron Necklace and Discount Code!

This is my newest pink macaron necklace! I don't know why it took me that long to come up with a pink theme - knowing it's my favourite colour, but late is better than never!

This brings a smile to my face. I was picky with finding the best pink combination, and this is just one of them. I MIGHT come up with more pink combinations. Oh, if you have anything in mind, do let me know too.

You just don't know how much fun I'm having when I create these trio, really. I mean it. Playing with colours is fun for me :D

This is available in my shop under Food Jewelry
