Dollhouse Miniature 1/12th Scale Kitchen Buffet Table

I've meant to remake this for the longest time, and finally managed to do so. Truly happy :)

This dollhouse miniature kitchen table measures 8cm tall, 8cm wide and 5.5cm deep.

I'm also slowly clearing some of my old craft books or magazines collection. Various craft books, inspiration books, cross stitch magazines. I'm listing them in the Clearance section in my Etsy shop.  Please feel free to take a look. I'll be listing them slowly over the next few days.

Also, I made some dollhouse miniature teal roses yesterday night.

I'm quite sure this is the first time I made teal roses. I did a search on the internet and most real roses are a little tad dark. I've made them a much lighter shade, which I prefer.

Now waiting for them to dry, and them attach them onto the cupcakes. I'm actually quite curious to see how teal roses look on a cupcake :)

Have a great week everyone!

Madame La Fee Cross Stitch - My work in progress

Ever since I laid my eyes on Madame La Fee cross stitch patterns, it has been on my wish list :)
I'm thrilled when I finally own it, and was even more delighted when I finally started working on it about 2 months ago.

If you had been following my blog, you'd know that I fell head over heels in love with this one.

When I finally got my hands on the chart, I started digging through my stash for the light pink fabric (as recommended) to stitch on. Just amazingly enough, I have a pink fabric in my collection and the size was just perfect for it. However as I have been keeping the fabric for a long time, it has a few yellow spots here and there, so the first thing I had to do was to wash and remove the yellow spots which I did successfully by washing and using some fabric stain remover. Some folks said baking soda would help too but I don't have that at home, so I just tried using what I have at home.

My progress has been slow but I'm glad this is a easy chart to stitch. They consist of all full cross stitches so it's very enjoyable too. I'm currently working on the cupcake, and once I'm done, I'll move onto the right hand side of the chart!

Création Point de Croix Hors-Serie Gourmandises

When I first laid eyes on the most recent issue of the Création Point de Croix Hors Magazine, I knew I had to get it! This June/July 2012 issue focuses purely on all things sweet - like desserts, pastries, cupcakes. If you are like me who loves desserts, and also into cross stitch, you should not miss this issue! I immediately grabbed a copy even though I must say I'm not quite sure when I WILL actually start stitching a project from the magazine yet (looking at my unfinished cross stitch project).

I still want to finish stitching the fruit tart that I've stopped halfway and want to take a photo of that when I am done!

I was very excited when I received it and spent a great deal of time looking through the pictures. Even though the entire magazine is in French and I do not know French, but cross stitch shouldn't be too difficult to follow when the thread colour coding is clearly stated.

I'm not sure why our local bookstores don't carry this magazine, but they should. I have browsed through many cross stitch magazines and collected many over the years, and I think this magazine produces one of the most classy and sophisticated designs.

Just love this really sweet design...love those macarons and profiteroles!

There are also some sweet ideas for miniatures too :)

Have a great weekend!

Cross Stitch - I want these...

Though I have a whole pile of cross stitch charts and kits sitting there waiting for me to complete them, I can't help but drool over these new things I found on the internet. I'm always looking around for new designs, and see what's new and cute out in the market. I'll be dreaming about these ones by Madame La Fee tonight. I want them! They are just too cute!!!
