Dollhouse Miniature Vanilla Flower and Bean Pod

I really love vanilla. I think I have expressed that before. I love vanilla ice cream, scents etc. What prompted me to make 1:12 scale dollhouse miniature vanilla flower and bean pods was while I was doing some research on macaron recipes, I found that in some of the recipes, it calls for vanilla extract or vanilla sugar. So that triggered me to make a mini version.

I'm building a miniature scene, which will be added to my list of clay workshop offerings. But because of the level of "complexity", this will definitely not be suitable for beginners, so it will only be available for intermediate students. I have tweaked certain courses to include prerequisite requirements as well.

For this particular piece, there will be some woodwork involved, but air dry clay sculpting techniques will also take on the center stage. I'm excited with how it is coming along, although I'm taking my time to finalize some of the items that will be featured there. It's hard to decide what will finally be put on that table! But the key highlight will be on macarons :)

Here is a sneak peek!

Dollhouse Miniature Raisin Danish

So excited to show you my new work in progress. I am making some dollhouse miniature raisin danish...:)
I also experimented new techniques to make this, and it turned out pretty nice, so I wanted to take a few photos quickly.

These are half painted, and there is still some more work to be done.

While making this, I swear that I was thinking of Delifrance Raisin Danish...so yummy! I want to eat one soon, but need to get to the nearest Delifrance to get my fix...

Linda's Dollhouse Bakery

Linda, who has received the dollhouse miniature macarons has so kindly taken a couple of photos of her daughter's dollhouse miniature bakery.

Right now it's tentatively placed here...but it may move to another bakery of Linda's :)

I always enjoy receiving photos to see where my handmade goodies are being displayed.

A long shot of the entire bakery room! So many goodies! Can you spot the colourful macarons? ;)

A closeup of where the macarons are right now...Again this arrangement may just be temporary.

A BIG Thank You to Linda for letting me share these photos of her bakery on my blog! I am so honored! :)

Dollhouse Miniature Clay Macarons 1/12 Scale

It's been a while since I attempt a large display of these clay macarons in 1:12 scale. I love how it looks like when it's done, but to be honest, this is a time consuming project ;) I had made some macarons when I have time, but it's not enough to build a display, so I'm still working on it.

But recently I was requested to make one, and since my customer already had a cake shelf, so she only needed the macaron display in a certain measurement that would fit into her cake shelf. We went back and forth a few times to nail down some specific details, and then I was ready to begin this project!

What I enjoy most when working on large projects like this is playing around with colours and finding the best visual arrangement. This took me about a week and a half to complete...

It's been a while I've used my long shelf as a display, but this looks just perfect for the photo shoot!
