Dollhouse Miniature Hydrangeas in Bread Box

I'm quite sure I haven't materialize this concept into dollhouse miniature. Hydrangeas presented in a bread box. So that's what I have been making these for a while.

The first one I did was a beige hydrangeas with a blue bread box.

I don't believe I had made beige hydrangeas before, so I was excited with this color ^^

Then the next one I made was a blue and white combination.

More color combinations will be added, as soon as I have some more time^^

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Dollhouse miniature sweet pink gerbera daisies in oval pot

Hi everyone! I've just completed this dollhouse miniature sweet pink gerbera daisies in oval pot. :)
I didn't think it would sell out that fast, but it is so encouraging, and so I'll be making another one more soon ^^

It's my first time making an oval pot and I do like this pot for flower arrangement. Oval pots does have a different feel from the usual square pots.

I'm also liking my new paper background design. It fits the color theme so well :)

There are a total of 10 gerbera daisies for the oval pot.

Lately, I can't quite muster energy to do much, except for making gerbera daisies...I must say. So my dear readers, you will be seeing quite a lot of them.

Well, I hope these photos bring a smile to you. Wishing you a wonderful week. :)

Doll House Cake - Romantic Pink Peonies Mini Cakes

Hi everyone, finally I have another piece of work completed, in between the other customised projects going on. This has taken quite a while to complete, but I'm glad I managed to as all the other trio romantic cakes in my shop has been sold quite a while ago. I have always wanted to restock some. I have more ideas in mind!

These romantic pink peonies mini cakes have a pop of lovely sweet pink color in the center of the flower.

Do you also see the layered cake in the background? I'm still trying to complete the cake stand before listing it ^^ It's also another popular cake that has been sold out.

The cake is about 1.6cm tall. Width is 1.2cm at most.

Comes with a lovely glass dome cake cover.

This set is available in my shop here.

Dollhouse Miniature Pink Macaron Tower

Hi everyone! It's been another long while since I updated. The lunar new year holidays came and went. Just a couple of days ago, I received this in the mail.

It's a copy of the Florist magazine - based in Switzerland. My miniature flowers were being featured in a flower magazine and I was thrilled beyond words.

I'm grateful for the feature :)

I am mostly working on custom orders these days, and I'm very thankful everyone is patient while waiting for their items to be completed.

It's been a while since I made a dollhouse miniature macaron tower and I was surprised I had enough energy to make 2!

I'm so pleased how they turned out. I'm still figuring out the whole photography situation. I took these photos at 3pm, where the sun was really bright. I thought I would have really bad ugly shadows, which would be the case at my old house. I'm very surprised these turned out OK. I'm not sure if it means 3pm is now my ideal timing to take photographs, but I'll try again next time.

The macaron tower in the background is a custom work for a client and is still a work in progress...I'll take more photos once I complete that!

The pink macaron towers are always very popular. While making these, I thought of making blue macaron towers, which I've never attempted. I wonder if they would be as popular.

And here's another picture of it on the 3cm cake stand. It makes it look really grand. I'll have to restock those 3cm cake stands again soon!

Dollhouse Miniature Anemones Flower

Hi everyone! I'm back :) It has been a week since my Macbook was brought in for a battery replacement. During this time, I had been busy working on custom orders. I also had some time to work on this pot of dollhouse miniature anemones flower.

It has been a while since I made anemones flower, so it was refreshing to see how I would change their "looks". This time round, I made the petals more "open".

How do you like this version of anemones?

Dollhouse Pink Gerbera Daisies

I completed this pot of dollhouse miniature pink gerbera daisies yesterday. :)
I'm loving the curls of the tiny ribbon on this.
Every pot that I make is different, since I can't control how the ribbon curl would turn out.

I'm also loving the white and blue tile background. I think it's the first time I'm using that for my photographs.

On another separate note, I'll have to send in my Macbook for screen replacement. I'm seeing horizontal lines on my screen, and the technician said it was a hardware issue, so that would have to be fixed at the repair centre. Which also means, no computer for 3-5 business days....I'll survive....

Happy New Year!

Happy new year's eve everyone! It's still officially 31 Dec as I write this blog post :)
2018 went by so quickly. Lots of changes on my end this year...from moving house (which was a big one and it took a lot of time and energy) to finding a new work schedule to fit in all of the caregiving duties and hospital visits. I'm still figuring things out honestly.

Some work in progress...

It's been a while since I made larger flower arrangements and I surprised myself that I could find the energy to make these few stalks of flowers during the quiet holidays.

Whilst making those peonies, I decided to offer them on a per stalk basis, so if you're interested to get some, please head HERE. It will be for a limited time only WHILE I still have this colored clay. All my colors are handmixed, so if that particular shade is gone, I will move onto the next color.

Here's wishing all a Happy 2019 and may you have a wonderful year ahead!

Mini Gingerbread House

The return of the mini gingerbread house...

Made this the other day. The cobblestone roof top is just something I couldn't resist making, thus I had to make another one. Just in time for Christmas this year.

I have another older design which I want to revisit. I'm slowly gaining some energy and strength after falling sick for most of November, hopefully I'll have some time to make another gingerbread house design this month.

I've a feeling I will STILL be making Christmas items even after Christmas is over... LOL
But I don't really have a deadline, so why not? :D

Dollhouse Miniature Teal Rose Cupcakes

I've made another set of these lovely dollhouse miniature teal rose cupcakes. What's different this time round is that I hand assembled the cake display for it.

It was made of a plate, and a bowl. I hand picked several parts, and put them together and turned it into a pedestal cake stand :)

So it's definitely a unique, one of a kind cake stand.

Cakes are glued to the cake stand, but the glass cover isn't.

On other news, I'm busy with moving. Well, renovating for now. Renovations hasn't started, but probably after a week's time :) I hope! So much to do, so much to pack! It does get a little overwhelming, as that's on top of my caregiving duties.

Do look out for a sale in my Etsy shop sometime mid June. My shop banner then will have all the details. The sale is only applicable for supplies, which means items such as molds, books, clays are all applicable for the sale. :) Don't miss it!

Dollhouse Miniature "Love" Naked Cake

I made this dollhouse miniature "Love" naked cake, just in time for Valentine's day. Sooo so glad. I have never been in time for Valentine's Day.

I remembered just as I finished this cake, I had other ideas for the Love word. So maybe another cake in the near future!

I'm still here, busy looking after my mother. But I'm slowly finding my pace with everything. My mom is currently on hormone therapy, which means she takes a pill at the same time daily. She also has chemo treatment once every three weeks. She just started this regime a few weeks ago, and so far my mom is coping well.

Next week would be Chinese Lunar New Year, but we won't be doing anything special. Just staying home and everyone can rest, including myself. :D

I'm also working on a custom order for a sweet friend. I'm so glad she understands my situation and told me to work on it whenever I have inspiration or energy to craft, since I'm pretty much occupied with caregiving duties. I'm very grateful.

Much more changes will be coming up this year...This is the year of change for me. But when things are confirmed, I can share more details.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Making Dollhouse Miniature Cupcakes Here

Making some dollhouse miniature cupcakes here…although my progress is very slow with the many other duties that I need to attend to. But I’m sure I will get them done, even if it takes 3-4 x the amount of time than I usually complete them.
I used this miniature cupcake mold to make the cupcake bases, and I must say it is by far, my favourite cupcake base mold. Reason being, it’s high enough, looks amazingly good, natural and the creases or folds are sharp and just perfect!
A bunch of them in my hands!
And if you noticed, some of the tops are painted already, and some are still unpainted.
The blue bases are calling out to me dearly.

Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful week!

Dollhouse Miniature Flowers - Pink Whispers

Hi everyone! This week is a slightly better week for me. Mom's feeling better than the week before, and that itself makes me happy. Mom still has her good days and bad days. We are just being thankful for a smoother week.

I also completed a bouquet earlier. Pink whispers is a refreshing bouquet that comprises of pinks, greens and purple flowers. The colors make me happy. I love the greens showing up in this bouquet!

It's been a while I made this standing vase. It's still one of my favorite styles. :)

Lots of mini leaves, berries and green bulbs.

Wishing you all a happy weekend!

Dollhouse Miniature Macaron Tower

I've just completed another slightly different dollhouse miniature macaron tower last week.

I'm pleased with this one, as I've made several minor changes. The changes are minor but hopefully they are noticeable.

The tower base is decorated slightly differently this time.

French macaron tower measures 4cm tall and 2.8cm at its widest.

Working on a larger bouquet right now....Hopefully I have something to show next time?

_____________

And in some other news, my mom had her first chemotherapy session today. So far it's pretty all right. Maybe it's too early to say?  I can only hope it stays this way - where she can still eat to keep her strength up. Keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't get bad side effects.
Having just been to the cancer center, I really have a new found admiration for those who go to treatments by themselves. It's not easy.
Personally, I'm slowly trying to find a balance between caregiving and working. It's been a challenge, but I also remind myself to be kind to myself. I'm sure I will find some sort of equilibrium in this challenging times. :)

Dollhouse Miniature Roses and Hypericum Berries

I made these dollhouse miniature hypericum berries a while ago. However, I just didn't find any suitable flowers to go along with it. So I left it...until I made these miniature roses this week. I think they go well together with the color tones.

Tiny tiny leaves go along with this piece as well. The tiny leaves make a huge difference.

Close up!

Available in my etsy shop here.

Trying to move into a new routine here. The good news is, I started a walking routine with my mom every morning. We would wake up and go for a walk. I was so happy the day we started this new routine. We have been good sticking with it everyday for this week ^^ It seems to make some difference. She feels more energetic and her spirits are good.

Thank you all who have left me kind comments and wishes! I appreciate it!

Macaron Tower and a SALE

I recently completed another dollhouse miniature macaron tower. Macaron towers have always been a popular request. I am also very heartened to know that the ones I made have always been picked up by different owners. I love playing around with colors, so each one is always different!

Now that this one has been mailed to its new home, it's time for me to play with colors again.!

I love the bloom peony flower on top of it. :) It's almost like my signature on every tower.

Another view of my hand on it.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank each and everyone of you, be it spending time commenting on my blog or by collecting my work by purchasing them. I started selling on Etsy in 2008. 9 years now?! I can't even imagine, that next year will be a decade! What?! Time really flies. I had no idea until I counted it while writing this blog post.

I recently reached a new milestone in achieving 5000 sales. I am grateful truly. If you followed my facebook page, I announced a Discount Code for this special milestone celebration. Take 15% OFF when you purchase a minimum of SGD$55 from my shop here. Only till 20 Aug 2017. Please get the code from my shop directly. :)

There were a couple of people who had issues with the code. But not to worry if you encountered that. Just drop me a note, and I'll manually issue you a 15% refund. With every new tool feature, there may be some teething issues. I'm around, so just send me a note. :)

Wishing all a great weekend!

Practising Making Peonies

Over the last week, I practiced making dollhouse miniature peonies using the new technique.
I am trying to make as many as I can, while the air dry clay remains fresh :)

I'm loving this color very much, so I'm trying to use up all of it. It looks like a fairly large chunk of clay, but in actual fact, it isn't really. But the color is hand mixed, and I just didn't want to waste it. So I'm going to make peonies out of this. Besides, the color of the peonies that I made did turn out looking really nice.

We had a fair share of really hot days and some cool rainy days here for the past week. When it's really rainy, it's a great day for just staying home and making peonies. :)

I use this small cup to place my peonies to dry. These are small sample cups where you'll find in supermarkets where they'll put samples of drinks or even sometimes food. I used to stick it in the flora sponge, but in this way, I can really inspect all the petals while letting it dry. It also helps to give me a sense of how they'll look in a bouquet or vase arrangement.

While letting it dry, I noticed that there were some gaps in my peonies. See the above circled one.

So I filled up the gap again. Yup - I did managed to do just that!

My last Miniature Pink Vespa and flowers bouquet post received a huge amount of likes and probably the most comments of all my posts on my facebook page

It blew me away... I'm so grateful for all the likes and comments. I didn't know that many people love the Vespa and flowers :) Thank you so much!

Wishing all my US friends a Happy 4th July!
