I can't get enough of hydrangeas

I've been into flowers, plants a bit lately, so I've been making quite a bit of them. I made 2 more miniature plants for friends overseas over the weekend ;)

Recently, I was looking for something in particular and found these photographs in my collection. I totally forgotten that I have taken these hydrangeas photos....and I was very excited when I saw them.

A few years ago, I went to Melbourne and visited a herb farm, strawberry farm and a flower garden. These were some shots I had of the hydrangeas. Look how soft the colours are....

I recently made some 1:12 miniature scale soft pink hydrangeas.... I love how the soft pink colour turned out. What about you?

Show and Tell ~ 1:12 Scale Shabby Chic Miniature Plant

Creating continues to be a learning journey for me. I find it easy to create something when I feel strongly for something. When I first saw the photo of my inspiration, it didn't take very long for me to visualize an image in my mind. I quickly worked on it. It didn't work out the first time though as I needed to get the box in the right scale. Threw out the first box and worked on the 2nd box. It worked the 2nd time. Painted it, gave it some old worn feel, and worked on the mini plant.

I like how it looks...shabby chic, yet very adorable with the strawberry motif ;) I have ideas to introduce it in other motifs too.

Mine is only 2cm at its tallest and 1cm at its widest.

New 1:12 Miniature Scale Framed Art Applique

I've been really busy lately, both with work in real life, and meeting up with friends. Lingsze came back from Perth for a visit shortly and I had lunch with her. Then had another gathering with 2 other girl friends on Monday, and last Saturday another dinner appointment.
