It's time for Show and Tell Monday again! Last week, I re-visited the 1:12 Miniature Cupcakes again. A few weeks back, when I had some time, I sat down to start the journey of making them. The biggest challenge for me was making the piping, because each cupcake measures just 0.4 mm wide. After much experimentation, and of course failure along the way, I finally approve this batch of cupcakes. I love the colours and the feel of it. What do you think?
Decorations for 1:12 Miniature cupcakes is another challenge. The roses had to be mini-small, so I had to make them all from scratch. Various decorations were used: strawberries, gold dragees, banana slices, blueberries, coloured roses, sugared flowers :)
If you see on the table, I had a US one cent coin as a gauge for scale. I can put 4 cupcakes on the one cent coin.
Going to make a few more other coloured ones!

ReplyDeleteYou really can see how your hard work paid off. You know, that is what sets us apart from the crowd. The standard of excellence. In the US we get pastry in pink card board boxes. A little pink box might be fun. Also ...do not kill me...what about a little box of chocolates. LOL You did a great job lady! Blessings, Lilli

ReplyDeletePei Lei, they are phenomenal. Just beautiful. I was just reading about an old custom in England of putting out faerie cakes to keep the faeries happy. Well these would certainly keep the garden faeries happy.

Oh Pei Li! If there was a contest for a million dollars on the best miniatures you would win hands down. My gosh they are truly incredible. I admire them so much because of all the detail you put into each one. They look sooo real. Wow..
