The plant

I walk about 10-15 minutes to the bus stop to catch a bus to work every morning. Along the way, I pass by the carpark and a school. There are trees, but I don't notice something till quite recently. Well to be honest, I changed my walking route a little since the beginning of this year, because it's a straight path which makes it easier. But anyway, I noticed this plant near the carpark. It was a striking purple against the green grass, so it was hard to miss it. What really funny was it wasn't placed in a proper flower pot, but a styrofoam box. The plant was also growing very well. Most people here would put their plant just right outside their flat, but this was left right out in the open. So I don't know if it belongs to anyone. Maybe the owner felt the plant needed lots of sunshine and water (we had lots of rain in the past few weeks). It was really a beautiful plant, and I always enjoy passing by and looking at it everyday. It was in full bloom for a long time. I have always wanted to take a photo of it, but my camera is kind of bulky and with my laptop and bag, I just would never consider bringing it to work. This week, I noticed half of the flowers have been dug out. Maybe someone or the owner finally realizes it's a beautiful plant and is ready to bring it home. Before the whole plant disappears, I finally took a photo of it today....

See, half the plant is gone.
